New Barrie Arena
A Toronto developer is hoping to build a new recreation centre in Barrie, but some hurdles need to be cleared at City Hall. The plan is to build a 77,000 square foot facility at the southwest corner of Tiffin Street and Ferndale Drive. However, the area is zoned industrial and a change in designation would need to be made to allow the centre to proceed. The group will be putting a proposal to the city's Committee of Adjustment in the coming weeks.
